ReviewScope.org helps people decide what to buy. We research product categories at scale, weigh the evidence that already exists about how products actually perform for the people who own them, and publish a shortlist you can act on in a few minutes instead of a few evenings.

Who we are

ReviewScope.org is an independent publisher. No manufacturer, retailer, or marketing agency owns a stake in this site or has any say in what we recommend.

We are a small team, and we would rather tell you that plainly than imply a newsroom we do not have. What we commit to instead is that the reasoning behind every pick is written down on the page, so you can judge it yourself rather than taking our word for it.

What we do

We cover the categories people actually shop for - electronics, kitchen and dining, home and furniture, appliances, computers and office, tools, garden, sleep, pets, and more. For each one we answer the same practical questions: Which products are genuinely worth buying, who each one suits, and what you give up at each price level.

We publish buying guides, category roundups, and product comparisons. We do not publish press releases, sponsored posts, or brand-supplied copy.

How we reach our verdicts

We are a research-led site. We do not claim to physically test every product we write about, and we think you should be sceptical of any site that claims otherwise across thousands of categories.

What we do is work at a scale a single reviewer cannot: For each category we assemble verified buyer ratings weighted by volume, the pattern of recurring complaints in negative reviews, published specifications compared like for like, price history, and the consensus of independent expert sources. Where an editor has genuine hands-on experience with a product, we say so explicitly in that review rather than implying it everywhere.

Our how we review page sets out the method in full, including an honest account of what the ReviewScope Score is and is not.

How we stay independent

No brand can buy a recommendation here. We do not sell ranking positions, “best overall” placements, scores, or inclusion in a roundup, and we do not let brands or retailers preview, approve, or amend our coverage before it publishes.

The rules we hold ourselves to - on sourcing, corrections, and the separation of editorial from commerce - are written down on our editorial policy page.

How we make money

When you follow a link from this site to a retailer and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. That is how this site is funded, and we would rather say so on every page than bury it.

Commission rates differ between products and categories. Those rates play no part in deciding what we recommend or how we rank it. Full terms are on our affiliate disclaimer page.

When we get it wrong

We do get things wrong, and when we do we fix the page rather than quietly deleting it. Substantive corrections are noted on the article with the date and what changed.

If you bought something on our recommendation and it did not hold up, that is the single most useful thing you can tell us. Write to us at [email protected] or through our contact page.
